Eastland is officially incorporated on 11/30/55 with owners Jonas B. Klein, Bertram Wolfson and Louis Fishman. Eastland manufactures private label, leather beaded moccasins for National Retail Chains and Mail Order Companies. The original factory was located at 5 Park Street in Freeport, Maine.

Eastland’s wildly popular camp moc collection is customized by consumers with the iconic Eastland Knot. Eastland makes millions of pairs of camp mocs in its 3 Maine factories that employ over 750 people.
To produce additional constructions that reflect changing style trends, Eastland expands manufacturing to Italy, Brazil and China.
Seville & Brooklyn establish Eastland in Urban Markets.
Jim Klein is named President of Eastland Shoe Corp.
Eastland’s first retail website is established, offering consumers Eastland’s complete product line
Eastland continues its history of family ownership with Joshua Klein and Jordan Klein joining the executive team.
To commemorate the company’s 55th anniversary, the Eastland Made in Maine Collection is introduced. This premium collection of signature Maine-made heritage styles uses only domestically sourced, Made in the USA components and is sold to the finest department stores and boutiques around the world.
The Eastland 1955 Edition Collection is introduced, drawing inspiration from the Eastland design archives.
Eastland celebrates 60 years in business and is still headquatered in Freeport, Maine.
